crossway quirks
folks...i guess if we are going to continue these journal entries, there are some things that you as fans need to know about crossway. #1. paul smith is a horrible driver. # 2. marty hurt is a dead man because he just now wrote all over my face with a permanent marker! # 3. chris weaver will talk to a tree. and finally #4. matt mcfarland will leave for a 4 day road trip with only the clothes he has on his back, and then borrow from everyone else. if you would like to inquire more about crossway and their many, many challenging traits, please respond to this posting. until the next entry....matt

I'm having deep issues here trying to create an account...if I ever get in I'll talk to you:)
Now, I have no idea how I did that and I have no idea which password (out of the 15 that I tried) it accepted:) I'm in deep water here, boys....and may never see you again so I shall make this worthwhile while I'm here.
First of all let me say that I'm delighted you're blogging. I've always wanted to view the "daily grind" of an artist and this is a great way. So please, keep it up.
Hmm....Paul, how did you get through driving school? I must increase my level of praying when I know you are at the wheel. Matt, what did you do to force Marty to take such drastic measures as inking up your face? Chris, talk to a tree? You need to find help for yourself:)
Matt, please don't tell me you forgot ALL of your clothes!! How could you? That's a tragic situation.
So guys, does everyone pack a little bit extra every week in case Matt forgets his clothes? Or possibly you ought to simply force him to wear the same clothes night after night after night. No doubt your fan base would be cut down, but the results in Matt's life might be positive.
What challenging traits shall we inquire upon? Hmmmm.......Who is consistently late for everything? Or is no one? And what about taking the longest to get ready to go somewhere? We know the worst driver, what about the "safest"? And an entire host of questions could come pouring forth from my mind but I shall limit it to those.
Let the blog roll onward! This is going to be fun.

I sure hope Paul can get ya'll to VA this weekend safely, as I'm coming to see you guys for the first time in Powhatan (if I can find it...)

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys for the first time this Sunday night in Moyock, NC. I had given my pastor your latest CD to listen to on a Wensday night, and the following day he called me to tell me had enjoyed it so much that he had booked you guys!! I know you guys like to eat, so my suggestion is to try a place called Southland, it's in Moyock, right off of HWY 168, as soon as you enter town. It will be on the left, they have the best barbacue around, as well as some very friendly people that work there. Once again I look forward to seeing you guys Sunday Night.

I just love this blog and I will read it everyday. I finally got set up I think.
So, Matt, what do you classify as a horrible driver?
I want to know all sorts of stuff, so keep the info coming.
I saw you guys in concert at the West Cross Alliance church in Anderson this past weekend. I loved it! I have always loved your music, but I never had the chance to see you in a full concert (NQC main stage doesn't count as a concert).

Actually to let everyone know, Matt does not go on a 4 day trip without a change of clothes. He has been known to go two whole weeks, if I remember correctly it was the family trip to Yellowstone, which was several years ago. Matt unfortunately did not have more clothes, because his parents did not buy him more just because he was not the favorite child. If he was the favorite child then he would have more clothes than the queen!Matt is just lucky to have the guys, they have dressed and taught him well. However, I can't say that about the pink shirt! I love you Matt!

Hey, Dude! No dissing Paul's driving. I mean, we all have our techniques, our true artistic, (maybe a bit eccentric) style. Mine just happens to be driving 35 mph in a 65 zone. I simply like to catch all the cool, accidental moments that happen to people in a small backwoods town like mine! Keep writing guys! Doin' great!
